CTS 500K audio potentiometer DPDT long shaft push pull switch
New CTS 500K long shaft split audio volume or tone potentiometer incorporating the push/pull DPDT "Double Pole Double Throw" toggle style switch, for Gibson Les Paul type guitar with long socket.
This audio/log potentiometer is used to split the humbuckers, or to wire the single microphones in series or in parallel, to switch the microphones in phase or out of phase (see downloadable documentation).
CTS 500K potentiometer switch DPDT long axis
The rotation of the axis on its course is firm and precise, the push/pull also, flexible and silent, standard format to replace a traditional vintage CTS made in the USA, also available in 250K.
Add a switch without drilling a hole in the pickguard.
- This CTS potentiometer naturally respects the Strat, Tele, Jazz and Precision Bass standards, and much more. I nut ile to modify the guitar to use it. These premium CTS control pots feature the switch contacts on the side, not the top, so they're shorter so they'll fit most guitars without having to change any routing cavities;
- The double pole switch/switch adds many wiring options. Pulling the knob in "on" mode allows you to mute a humbucker, activate or deactivate a pickup , etc. The switch is electrically separated from the control potentiometer. In addition to their space-saving size, these CTS feature a standard 24-line slotted brass axle, ±10% tighter resistance tolerance than vintage or classic Bourns-style CTS products;
- Their very precise audio band gives them a smoother, crisper and more marked response than those of budget knobs. The volume can rise evenly from 0 to 10, without abrupt changes;
- This CTS audio potentiometer comes complete with a flat washer, a toothed toothed washer for locking, and two hex mounting nuts for custom thread height adjustment.
Dimensions of the CTS DPDT Push/Pull long axis potentiometer:
- Socket height = 19.05mm;
- Diameter required for mounting = 9.52mm;
- Routing cavity depth = 44mm mini;
- Axle 24 grooves for buttons made in the USA.
CTS DPDT potentiometer operation Push mode (off) and Pull mode (on):
Switch with two electrically independent components controlled by a single axis/ knob shaft. When the shaft is turned, the potentiometer works and does its job. You can also pull the pot shaft which will change the on/off mode switch from "down" to "up". Remember, the pot and the switch are separate components, so there is no interaction between them,
